The Germania Broadcast was the first German radio program in the United States which was sent by shortwave from America to Europe.
The Germania Broadcast in its first fifteen years had the largest audience of any local program in the City of Chicago, according to Chicago newspapers.
The Germania Broadcast helped thousands of people find work and help during the depression years through its "Who Will Help?" programs.
1937--For the year of 1937 is scheduled the "Germania-Rundfunkreise 1937", the annual tour to Europe, which is to sail on the S. S. Europa on June 19th and will be led again personally by Mr. Klein.
Mr. Klein led again a party to Europe, sailing on June 15th on the S. S. Bremen.

The 5th annual tour to Europe sailed on June 10th on the S. S. Statendam.
The 4th annual excursion to Europe was conducted by Mr. Klein on the S. S. Rotterdam and sailed on June 4th.
May 23rd: Sailing of 3rd annual tour to Europe on the S. S. Statendam.
The 2nd excursion to Europe for listeners and friends of the "Germania Broadcast" was conducted again by Mr. Klein, and the attendance was a spectacular one. It departed on the liner S. S. Statendam on May 24th.
First European Excursion on June 29th on the S. S. Mauretania; one of the largest German parties ever assembled in this country went to Europe in a group.
