1944 - Franz Gerstenberg joins the Germania Broadcast staff to become announcer and director of the program.
William Klein Replaced by Walter Rudolf - CHECK DATE

1943 - William L. Klein resigns as speaker of the Germania Broadcast. Walter Rudolf took over in his place, but met with an early death, shortly after joining the program.
Hermann Leopoldi & Helen Moestein at Orchestra Hall

1942 - Hermann Leopoldi, Vienna's most popular entertainer, was presented by the Germania Broadcast in a concert in Orchestra Hall on October 10th. This marked his first appearance in Chicago. Sharing the bill with Leopoldi was Helen Moeslein, coloratura soprano, who thrilled the audience with melodious and humorous Viennese and English songs. As was the precedent for all his concerts, again the box office had a sign reading "All Seats Sold."
Summer Festival in Riverview Park

1940 - A comedy presentation, two-hour children's program, football tournament and sports demonstration were featured in the "Volkfest" summer festival in Riverview Park on July 28tb. Popular stars who appeared in a radio concert at the affair included Angelo Lippich, Franzl Schoenfeld, Leonardo Aramesco, Miga March-Fiechtl and Rudi Chmelik.

1939 - The Germania Broadcast Circus Festival was held on July 30th in Riverview Park. Former Governor Dwight Green, Lt. Gov. John Stelle and Postmaster Ernest J. Kruetgen were among the honored guests present at the affair. As a major attraction, William L. Klein staged a short version of "Pagliacci" featuring the late Leonardo Aramesco.
Operetta 'Alt Heidelberg' at the Studebaker Theater

'Alt Heidelberg' (Student Prince), a special stage play given in honor of and with Hanns Leo Reich, was held in the Studebaker Theater On May 1st. It was the first stage performance in the United States by Mr. Reich, who took the part of the student prince.
